The school promotes the Arts and music in particular is a great strength of the school. We are also a sporting school and in recognition of this, we have achieved Gold Level Sports Mark.

Headlands is an over-subscribed school which enjoys a real socio-economic mix. The school is well equipped with its own trainer swimming pool, two large halls, large fields and purpose- built facilities including a music room and an Emporium!

In addition, the school has a SEND Unit Provision catering for children with significant social and communication difficulties including autism.

Headlands is proud to be part of Northampton Primary Academy Trust (NPAT). Headlands converted to academy status on 1st November 2012, creating the first multi academy trust in the town with Abington Vale Primary, East Hunsbury, Ecton Brook Primary, Langlands Primary School, Lings Primary, Rectory Farm Primary, Simon De Senlis Primary, Thorplands, Upton Meadows, Weston Favell Primary School and more recently Stanton Cross Primary School.

Headlands Primary School has 446 amazing children on role in the main school plus a nursery. The school is well equipped with its own trainer swimming pool, two large halls, large fields and playground. We are seeking to appoint a confident and talented Class Teacher to start in September 2024 . The successful candidates will have a vibrant personality, enthusiasm and drive towards delivering an inspiring primary school curriculum and ensuring that every child in their care reaches their absolute best in all aspects of school life.  You will be able to plan for children who are working at different ability levels and deliver engaging, fun and active learning sessions to your class.

The successful person will be committed to working as a team and embodying the vision of the school and the wider trust.

In return, we will provide you with access to an established programme of high quality support (which all our teachers benefit from), utilising internal and external expertise, which has proven to be very successful. You can also expect to receive from the school; high levels of collaborative support, a laptop for your use whilst employed by the school, TA support in class and a friendly, highly supportive environment.

This post is on a fixed term basis until 31st August 2025 and would suit a newly qualified Teacher or a Teacher with experience from Early Years to Year 6.
