Fairfields School are recruiting for Primary School Direct PGCE with QTS. We offer bespoke school-based initial teacher training in partnership with the University of Derby. Placements can be either mainstream or special.
We are an Ofsted outstanding provider and have an excellent track record of success and employment prospects.
The aim of our programme is to provide our trainees with the tools they need to teach every child.
Tuition Route (code 24ZM)
A more gradual approach into teaching, you will be supported to take on more teaching time as the year progresses. You will be expected to pay your tuition fees but financial support is available.
Each student will be allocated an in-school mentor and an experienced Link Tutor. We have links to schools across Northamptonshire, with an opportunity to be placed in a variety of settings.
The programme offers focused practical classroom experience and weekly training sessions led by University lecturers and local expert practitioners (in Northampton). We follow highly structured assessments with clear expectations for students set through observations and link tutor visits.
