Abbeyfield School, part of the Creative Education Trust, is an 11-18 school, predominately serving the South East of Northampton. Through teamwork and a shared desire to support and challenge every student in order for them to achieve their personal best. We have high expectations and aspirations of ourselves and of our students. Our Quality First Teaching Charter ensures a focus on high quality teaching and learning. Alongside academic achievement we place a very high value on students’ social and personal development, equipping them with the life and employability skills needed for successful adulthood.

The school has a wealth of facilities that underpin the wide curriculum including; state of the art theatre, science lecture theatre, dance studio, drama studio, super learning centre designed for collaborative teaching, fitness suite, sports field, netball courts, basketball courts, gym and a full size sports hall. In the last few years we have been at the forefront of curriculum innovation and now offer our students an extensive and relevant curriculum choice.

Our mission is to develop the full academic, personal and social potential of each individual student. The School has a growing reputation for success, with our school slogan “Ambitious to Achieve” proposed by one of our own Year 12 students and our 6 school values.

We are a modern primary school across two sites approximately a mile apart and part of the Northampton Primary Academy Trust. Although both sites are very different in appearance, both share the same ethos, values and dedication to high standards. The teachers work hard to ensure that the children experience a very high standard of all round education.

Park Campus (the original Abington Vale site) was built in 1968, it is an attractive building surrounded by extensive grounds, which provide a stimulating environment for both learning and play for our pupils.

Stirling Campus was completed and opened in September 2013. It is a fabulous office block conversion providing a unique and exciting learning opportunity for 210 children. Its modern and dynamic design is based upon Scandinavian school principals with large collaborative spaces.

Pre-School

We are extremely proud of our inclusive, inspiring and creative school. All Saints CEVA is an oversubscribed “outstanding” Church School for 210 pupils with 52 children attending our nursery provision. The school has strong connections with the Peterborough Diocese and All Saints Church. Our mission statement encompasses this:

It is of vital importance to us that our children develop a lifelong love of learning through a relevant, creative and fun curriculum, appropriate to the children’s needs and interests. We see the child as a “whole” and it is of paramount importance to us to develop their social, spiritual, moral, cultural, physical and academic wellbeing. Our Victorian building built in 1880 has undergone substantial refurbishment, turning it into a contemporary, appropriate building able to accommodate a well-resourced 21st century curriculum. Our intention is simple, we want every child to be happy and excited about coming to school.

Primary

We are a happy and vibrant school situated on the outskirts of Daventry. Our reputation for valuing, caring for and attending to the needs of each child is justly deserved and a real strength of the school.

We are far more than just a two-form entry Primary School.  We run a successful wrap around care facility, providing provision for breakfast club and after school care both of which are based at our school and managed by staff children are familiar with and hugely popular.

Ofsted inspected Ashby Fields Primary School in April 2015 and we were judged to be ‘good’, remarking that ‘Leaders, including governors, have successfully improved teaching since the last inspection……as a result, pupils are making good progress in reading, writing and mathematics and their attainment is rising rapidly.’
