The CE Academy



Full-time/52 weeks a year/37 hrs week to commence as soon as possible.

All annual leave to be taken during school holidays

You will be expected to provide comprehensive technical support for both ICT hardware and software used in the administration and curriculum delivery within the CE Academy.

To set-up, test and maintain both hardware, software, network and its security, and make sure they are backed-up and upgraded properly.  Manage the IT support, offer professional advice and guidelines and ensure comprehensive technical support (including hardware and software) are provided to all users.

The CE Academy specialises in the teaching of pupils many of whom present challenging behaviours and have been permanently excluded from their schools. The pupil age profile is 11 to 16 years and covers a wide ability range. There are currently eight permanent provisions across Northamptonshire.

You must be used to communicating with teenagers, be comfortable in their presence and able to empathise with the young people at the campuses.  An aptitude for problem solving, to prioritise the workload and the ability to work under pressure is important.  You will also be expected to represent CE at meetings with other departments and agencies.   The ability to travel quickly between centres with computers for emergency assistance is essential.
