Kingsley Special Academy is looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to work alongside our amazing pupils. We invite family-focused individuals to join our experienced team who are keen to provide encouragement and offer positive outcomes for our pupils. Applicants should thrive on the challenge of understanding a child’s unique presentation and be adaptable to the ever-changing context of the school and classroom. The successful candidates will offer individualised support throughout the school day (and beyond in our play-scheme and after school club). 32.5 hours per week. Hours: 8.45 to 3.40 plus Wednesday team meeting to 5.00pm. 39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 training days)
Kingsley Special Academy is a part of Kingsley Learning Foundation which includes Red Kite Academy in Corby. It is a Community Special School providing education, therapy, support and facilities for children aged four years to eleven years who have physical, medical, sensory, learning and communication difficulties. Many of our children have presentations on the autistic spectrum. The school can provide for 156 pupils who have an Education and Health Care Plan.
Start date ASAP, on completion of pre-employment checks – all posts are dependent on successful DBS, medical and reference clearance and right to work in the UK. A social media search will be carried out on short-listed candidates (KCSIE recommendation). The successful candidate will be expected to adhere to the Safeguarding Policies of the school and Keeping Children Safe in Education legislation. All contracts issued are Trust contracts covering all schools within Kingsley Learning Foundation.
The School are operating an open morning on 4th May 2024 at 11am for anyone wishing to have a tour.
