St Mary’s Church of England VA Primary Academy

We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and reliable person to provide support for pupils, teachers and the Academy in order to raise standards of achievement for all pupils.  The role is to work both with groups of pupils within the classroom and to lead intervention groups outside the classroom as well as leading some whole class teaching.

What we want from you!

  • A good basic education with at least a Grade C in English & Maths
  • Meet the Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards and have HLTA status OR be able to demonstrate their capabilities in meeting the standards and be committed to achieving this status once appointed
  • Experience of working with children in a school environment.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills with the ability to work as a part of a team
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Calm and resilient approach.
  • A passion for helping young people progress and develop.

The position is for 5 days a week 8.30 – 4.00 term time + training days (39 weeks) (32.5 hours), We can be flexible in hours for the right candidate.
