Are you committed to providing outstanding support so that our students have the best opportunities to gain employment and live independently? If so we have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to be part of our new Specialist Post-16 Institute.
We are looking to recruit a learning assistant to help deliver support to students who face a wide range of barriers to employment.
The role will entail working within a team to support a group of fantastic students (presently aged 17-22) with SEND, both in the college and workplace setting, and play a role in developing our new provision. We welcome candidates with the suitable experience, motivation and commitment to apply for the role.
Creating Tomorrow College (Specialist Post-16 Institute) is a new provision for students aged 16-25 and will provide pathways to employment and independence for up to 150 students aged 16-25 with a broad spectrum of special educational needs and learning disabilities.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with young people with learning difficulties and have a commitment to:
- Support individuals to overcome barriers to employment
- Work with students with additional needs supporting employment focused programmes.
- Support students to undertake job search activities and build confidence, tailoring this support to the individual on a 1-to-1 basis as well as through group activity
- Support students to develop the skills to be independent.

Knowledgeable about the learning needs of students with a range of barriers to overcome
