Are you the right person to make a difference at our school?
A vacancy has arisen for Teaching Assistant to join our friendly school and work alongside the class teacher. This would mainly be 1:1 support with a child who has social, emotional and mental health needs. You will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, and when supporting the individual pupil, you will need to build a relationship to help them achieve their personal targets. There may also be occasions for you to work with small groups.
This is a full-time post 8.50am – 3.15pm for 38 weeks during term time. Support may also be required over the lunch hour and playtimes so flexibility will be key! (A lunch break will be given). This is a fixed term contract initially until 22nd July 2022 and dependent on funding.
The applicant will need to be a positive, enthusiastic, caring and patient addition to our team with excellent communication skills and a friendly and approachable manner. Experience of working of supporting children with social, emotional and behavioural needs would be an advantage; however, we would require the successful candidate to take part in appropriate training.
Our school values underpin our school’s philosophy and ethos. They contribute to the high standard of good behaviour and strong moral, spiritual and culture education of the children. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils and expect all staff to share this commitment. Enhanced DBS clearance is required for this post, plus two references for all short-listed candidates. We are an Equal Opportunities employer.
