  • Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship

    Abington Vale Primary School

    During your apprenticeship (typically 21 months – this will be determined by your existing qualifications and/or experience) you will be assigned a Trainer and will work towards the Teaching assistant apprenticeship standard (level 3) which has highly transferable knowledge, skills and behaviors which can be applied across all sectors.

    You may also be required to complete Math’s and English Functional Skills (this will be determined by your existing qualifications). Your Trainer will meet with you virtually every two weeks with onsite observations and formal reviews taking place every 12 weeks.

  • Administrative Assistant/Receptionist – Part Time

    Abington Vale Primary School

    Part Time – 2 Days per week

    The overall purpose of this job is to provide a clerical, administrative and secretarial service for the school. To ensure that internal and external services are maintained and delivered to the required service levels to enable effective teaching and learning.

    The post holder will provide a comprehensive, confidential, personal and secretarial support to the School Business Manager, Head Teacher and a variety of other stakeholders. To be responsible for the accurate and efficient administration of a wide range of administrative tasks to assist the School Business Manager enabling the smooth and efficient running of two school offices across a split site.

    The post holder will be expected to work autonomously and on their own initiative in undertaking their day to day tasks and with a high level of accuracy and efficiency. The post holder will be expected to ensure that the school operates within the academy and school’s procedures and policies.

    The post holder will be expected to also fulfil receptionist duties within this role. She/he will also be required to assist the finance team.

  • Senior Administrator / ICT Coordinator
