Teaching Assistant

Vernon Terrace Primary School is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our School team.  Experience of working within all Key Stages would be useful as well as any experience of working with children with social and emotional difficulties, mental health issues and challenging behaviour.

The successful candidate will:

• Have knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Have effective communication skills
• Be kind, warm, caring and have a positive attitude
• Be patient, confident and sensitive to individual needs
• Be able to use their own initiative
• A minimum of GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• The willingness to learn and undertake further training.
• Possess the skills and abilities to work with children with special educational needs
• Be committed to pastoral care and collaborative team working

We are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic person with a good sense of humour.  We strongly encourage visits to the School so please ring to make an appointment.
